Swapping wheels is quick, but it is one of the few times someone sees all four tyres up close. We measure the tread, check the pressure and tell you if a tyre is damaged or worn unevenly. Uneven wear is often the first sign that the wheel alignment is off – and since wheel alignment has been our speciality since 1976, we know what to look for.

How much does a tyre change cost?
Swapping wheels that are already fitted on rims costs SEK 350 for a standard car. Fitting new tyres onto your existing rims is a different job – call us for a price.
Do I need to book?
Yes, call us and we will book you in. Working by appointment means you do not have to wait, and in season it pays to call a few weeks ahead.
When do I have to switch to winter tyres in Sweden?
Winter tyres are mandatory in winter road conditions from 1 December to 31 March. It is the road conditions that decide, not the date – snow, ice or slush on the road during that period means the car must have winter tyres.
When can I switch back to summer tyres?
The winter tyre requirement ends on 31 March and studded tyres may be used until 15 April, or longer if road conditions call for it. After that you switch to summer tyres.
What is the minimum tread depth?
Winter tyres must have at least 3 mm of tread while the winter requirement applies, and summer tyres at least 1.6 mm. We measure at every swap and tell you when a tyre is getting close.
Do you check the tyres when you swap them?
Yes. We measure tread depth and check the pressure on all four wheels. If we spot damage or uneven wear, we tell you before you drive away.
What does uneven tyre wear mean?
Uneven wear usually means the wheel alignment is off. We can measure on the same visit – front alignment costs SEK 1,200 and front and rear SEK 1,500.
Can you store the wheels I take off?
Yes, in our tyre storage for SEK 900. We check their condition and let you know in good time if new tyres are needed.
Do you change tyres on motorhomes and vans?
Yes, special vehicles are welcome. An extra charge may apply depending on the vehicle, so call with the model and you will get an answer straight away.
Can I buy new tyres at the same time?
Yes. We recommend tyres based on how and how much you drive and fit them on the same visit. You always get a quote before we order anything.
Where is the workshop?
At Södra Däckvägen 3 in the Nordskogen industrial area of Borås. Turn in at Stena Metall and continue further in – we are on the inside of the area.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30 and Friday 07:00–11:00. Outside the busy seasons we open by appointment, so give us a call.
