From 1 December, winter tyres are compulsory in winter road conditions, and this requirement remains in force until 31 March. October and November are the busiest weeks of the year at tyre centres — if you book early, you’ll get a time that suits you rather than whatever’s left over.

If the wheels are misaligned, the tyres will wear unevenly and much faster — having a set of tyres replaced prematurely can quickly cost more than the alignment itself. You’ll also experience poorer road holding and higher fuel consumption, as the wheels are literally slowing each other down.
We measure both the front and rear axles using equipment that is always calibrated and updated with precise values for your car model. We always take measurements first and let you know before we do anything that affects the price.

Today, we carry out complete wheel alignments using the latest equipment. A 4-wheel alignment measures and adjusts both the front and rear suspension, and, most importantly, the equipment is always calibrated and updated with precise values for your car model. Vad kostar en hjulinställning?
Front-wheel alignment costs 1,200 SEK and front and rear alignment costs 1,500 SEK for a standard passenger car. Special vehicles such as motorhomes and electric cars may cost more — please call and quote your car model for an immediate quote.
Hur ofta bör man göra hjulinställning?
There is no fixed rule, but an inspection every two years is a reasonable starting point for a car that is driven under normal conditions. If you drive a lot, have hit a kerb or a large bump, or notice that the car is pulling to one side — then it’s time for a check-up, regardless of how long it’s been since the last one.
Måste man göra hjulinställning vid byte av däck?
No, it’s not a requirement. But it’s often a good idea. If you fit new tyres to wheels that are misaligned, the new tyres will wear just as unevenly as the old ones, and you won’t get the full lifespan out of a set of tyres you’ve just paid for. We recommend having this checked if it’s been more than a couple of years since the last time, or if you’ve noticed that the car is pulling to one side.
Hur vet man om däcken är obalanserade?
The clearest sign is that the steering wheel vibrates at a certain speed, often somewhere around 80–100 km/h. The vibration comes and goes with the speed rather than being constant. If, on the other hand, the car pulls to one side or the steering wheel is out of centre, this is usually down to the wheel alignment, not the balancing.

Hur lång tid tar en däckbalansering?
The balancing itself is quick — it’s fitting and removing the wheels that takes up most of the time. Give us a call and we’ll let you know how long it will take for your car and when we can see you.
Hur mycket kostar det att laga en punktering?
It depends on where the damage is on the tyre. A hole in the tread can often be repaired safely. If the damage is on the sidewall, the tyre must not be repaired at all, regardless of the cost — it must be replaced. We always assess the tyre first and let you know what needs to be done before we take any action.
När måste jag byta till vinterdäck?
Winter tyres are required in winter road conditions from 1 December to 31 March inclusive. It is therefore the road conditions that determine this, not the dates — if there is snow, ice or slush on the road, you must have winter tyres fitted during that period. Studded tyres may be used from 1 October to 15 April inclusive, and for longer if road conditions require it. Winter tyres must have a minimum tread depth of 3 mm.

Vad ingår i däckhotellet?
Off-season storage, checks on tread depth and condition, and early notification when it’s time for new tyres. Tyre storage costs 900 kr.
