Winter season 2026/2027
Time to book your winter tyres
From 1 December, winter tyres are compulsory in winter road conditions, and this requirement remains in force until 31 March. October and November are the busiest weeks of the year at tyre centres — if you book early, you’ll get a time that suits you rather than one that’s left over.

After the puncture
What may be needed after tyre damage
A puncture rarely comes alone. These are the things that sometimes need checking when a tyre has been damaged.

Repair or replace
Where the damage is decides everything
A nail or screw in the tread can often be safely repaired. Damage to the sidewall can never be repaired, because the sidewall flexes constantly and a repair will not hold. And if the car has been driven any distance on a flat tyre, the inside may be damaged even if nothing shows on the outside. That is why we always inspect the tyre before talking price – and tell you honestly when a new tyre is the only safe option.
Do not drive on a flat tyre
A tyre with no air is destroyed from the inside within a few hundred metres, and then it can no longer be repaired. Fit the spare or drive slowly for the shortest possible distance, and call us.
Tyre pressure warning light on
If the tyre pressure warning comes on without any tyre looking flat, it may be a slow leak. Check the pressure and call us if it keeps dropping.

Puncture questions
Frequently asked questions about puncture repair
These are the questions we hear most from people with a puncture. Call 033-12 62 32 if yours is not here.
Can my puncture be repaired?
It depends on where the damage is. A nail or screw in the tread can often be safely repaired, while damage to the sidewall can never be repaired. We always inspect the tyre first.
How much does a puncture repair cost?
It depends on the damage, so we inspect the tyre before giving a price. Call 033-12 62 32 for an answer.
Why can sidewall damage not be repaired?
The sidewall flexes constantly as the wheel turns, and a repair there will not hold. A tyre with a damaged sidewall must be replaced.
Can I drive on a punctured tyre?
Only for the shortest possible distance and slowly. A tyre with no air is destroyed from the inside within a few hundred metres, and then it can no longer be repaired.
Should I pull the nail out myself?
No, leave it in. The nail often partly seals the hole, and pulling it out makes the tyre lose air faster.
Why is the tyre pressure light on when the tyres look fine?
It may be a slow leak from a nail, the valve or the bead against the rim. Check the pressure and call us if it keeps dropping.
How long does a puncture repair last?
A properly done repair in the tread normally lasts for the rest of the tyre’s life. That is why we only repair damage that can be safely repaired.
Do I need to replace two tyres if one is ruined?
Not always. If the other tyre on the same axle is almost new, one is often enough. If it is worn, we recommend replacing both so the car runs evenly.
Does the tyre need balancing after the repair?
Often, yes. A repair can affect the weight distribution, so we check the balance before the wheel goes back on.
Do you repair punctures on motorhomes and vans?
Call with the model and we will tell you. Special vehicles are welcome, but an extra charge may apply depending on the vehicle.
Can I just turn up without booking?
Call first and we will tell you when we can see you. That way you will not make the trip for nothing on a day when the workshop is fully booked.
Where is the workshop?
At Södra Däckvägen 3 in the Nordskogen industrial area of Borås. Turn in at Stena Metall and continue further in – we are on the inside of the area.
