How far is it from Sandared to the workshop?
About 12 km. Take route 40 east towards Borås and continue to Nordskogen on the north side of town. Allow around 15 minutes.
How much does a tyre change cost?
SEK 350 for a standard car when the wheels are already on rims. Fitting new tyres to your existing rims is a separate service – call for a price.
Do I need to book?

Do you check the tyres when you swap them?
All four: tread depth, tyre pressure and visible damage. If a tyre is worn on one edge you hear about it before you drive back to Sandared.
When do I need winter tyres in Sweden?
In winter road conditions between 1 December and 31 March. If there is snow, ice or slush on the road in that period the car must have winter tyres, whatever the date.
How much tread depth do the tyres need?
At least 3 mm on winter tyres during the winter tyre period and at least 1.6 mm on summer tyres. We measure all four at the swap and flag tyres that are running out.
What does it mean if my tyres have worn unevenly?
That the wheel angles are wrong. That is our speciality, so we can measure and adjust in the same visit: SEK 1,200 front, SEK 1,500 front and rear.
Can you store the wheels I take off?
Yes, tyre storage costs SEK 900. The wheels stay dry with us until next season instead of in the shed in Sandared, and we tell you if they need replacing.
Do you take motorhomes, electric cars and vans?
Yes, all three are welcome. An extra cost may apply depending on the vehicle, so call with the make and model and we will tell you straight away.
Where is the workshop in relation to Sandared?
At Södra Däckvägen 3 in the Nordskogen industrial area of Borås, west of Borås. From Sandared it takes about 15 minutes by car via route 40 eastbound. Turn in at Stena Metall and continue along the inside road – you will find us there.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30 and Friday 07:00–11:00. In the low season we open by arrangement – call and we will find a time.
