How do I find you from Sjömarken?

Take route 40 into Borås and on to Nordskogen on the north side of town. The workshop is at Södra Däckvägen 3 – turn in at Stena Metall and continue along the inside road. About 10 minutes in total.

How much does a wheel swap cost?

SEK 350 for a standard car when the wheels are on rims. Fitting new tyres to existing rims is priced separately – call for details.

Can I get a time the same week?

Outside peak season, usually yes. In October, November, March and April we are booked several weeks ahead, so call in good time.

What is included in the swap?

Removing and fitting the wheels, measuring tread depth and checking tyre pressure on all four. We tell you if we see damage or uneven wear.

Do the wheels need balancing at the swap?

Not necessarily. If the steering wheel vibrated last season the wheels should be balanced, otherwise not. Tell us when you book and we check.

What are the winter tyre rules?

Winter tyres are required in winter road conditions from 1 December to 31 March and must have at least 3 mm of tread. Studded tyres may be used until 15 April.

How do I know my wheels are set right?

We can see it in the wear. If the inner or outer edge is more worn than the rest, the alignment is probably off, and we can measure in the same visit.

Can I buy new tyres with the swap?

Yes. We recommend tyres for how and how much you drive and fit them in the same visit. You always get a quote before we order.

Do you offer tyre storage?

Yes, for SEK 900 we store the wheels until next season and check their condition. Handy if you do not want them in the shed at home in Sjömarken.

Do you take motorhomes, electric cars and vans?

Yes, all three are welcome. An extra cost may apply depending on the vehicle, so call with the make and model and we will tell you straight away.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30 and Friday 07:00–11:00. In the low season we open by arrangement – call and we will find a time.
